Habicht wood KIT 1680mm - KRICK
Perfect beginner flight model as a classic wooden kit
Two models from one box. The two-axle glider for sailing and electric flying
HABIT, newly designed in CAD and manufactured using CNC laser technology, is the ideal entry-level model for model aircraft construction.
Even the experienced model builder will have fun with it. The structure of the model is deliberately kept very simple and is therefore
easy to do, even for inexperienced model builders. All components are laser cut with high precision.
The building instructions with numerous pictures guide you well through the construction.
The model is controlled via elevator and rudder.
In the electric version also with motor control.
The airfoil profile was developed from the profiles of modern high-performance models and gives the HABICHT high gliding performance with a low sink rate.
The V-shape of the wing has been reduced in order to give the model excellent maneuverability while still maintaining high inherent stability.
The hull is built from a few pieces of plywood and balsa wood. It is therefore very robust and forgives some hard landings.
The canopy is removed via a magnetic lock, so that there is easy access to the flight battery (electric version) and the internals.
The wing is secured with rubber bands. It is a lightweight rib construction that is planked on the surface in the nose area.
The tail units are built from lasered individual parts.
In addition to glue and a few tools (knife, pins, sandpaper, flat-nose pliers and scissors), all you need to complete the model is the iron-on film
necessary for covering.
The glider's RC equipment includes a receiver battery with approx. 1,000 mAh and switch, the receiver with 2-4 channels and two servos with a width of 15.5 mm
needed. The electric version is powered by light motors with a diameter of 26 or 28 mm, a suitable BEC controller and a 3s LiPo
with approx. 1,300 mAh - a very inexpensive drive combination.
Thanks to the divided wing, the model can also be easily transported in a backpack, on a bicycle or in a small car.
The glider can also be launched on the slope with the rubber rope on the level. The electric version also suits the glider in terms of gliding characteristics
in nothing after.
