Wright Flyer wood KIT 420mm - Simprop
Display model - not airworthy
With this Wright Flyer the brothers Wilbur and Orville Wright were able to fly the first motor driven plane ever on 17.12.1903 in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
The flight lasted just 12 seconds and pilot Orville Wright flew a distance of 37 meters. The flyer was driven by two counter-rotating propellers on a four-cylinder engine.
On the fourth flight of the Wright flyer, a gust of wind led to a bad landing that damaged the aircraft irreparably.
This wooden kit is a scale model of this pioneer of aviation history.
