Williams Brothers is one of the world wide leaders in plastic parts and kits. The Williams Brothers started with modelling already in the 30s, first with free flight models and racing cars. The 2nd World War interrupted the two brothers, Granger and Larry, from their activities while the older brother Don continued to produce propellers for model engines on the homemade machines.
In the 60s, Granger and Larry were employed by North American Aviation, and constructed a models for the wind tunnel. In addition, they started a production line of model aircraft accessories in their home garage. This part time job was gradually developed into a full-time job and led the move to Bell in California. They also made parts for Bell Auto Parts and other companies.
As the production continued to increase, the brothers developed and built their own injection molding machines and used aluminum for molds, which they preferred to the previous molds made out of steel. The production of the Williams Brothers factory at that time consisted of a variety of plastic wheels for model aircraft, pilot gures, dummy engines , wheel covers, canopies and other accessories. Later, they went into the business of producing challenging display models.
